To eliminate unpleasant cold spots and to allow for maximum expansion of our down comforters, select a comforter with baffled box construction. Baffling refers to sewn in vertical cloth walls between the top and bottom of the down comforter. Baffle box construction is of a higher quality than sewn-through stitching. Sewn-through stitching refers to stitches that go from the top of the down comforter directly through the comforter and emerge on the bottom of the down comforter. We offer three types of baffle construction for our down comforters. Open box design allows the down to be adjusted from one part of the down comforter to another. Partially open baffle box may permits some down movement from box to box. Closed baffle box design does not allow movement in the down comforter.
